[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군이 도내에서 유일하게 정부의 '2023년 지방소멸대응을 위한 지역기업 혁신 공모사업‘에 최종 선정됐다.
이번 공모는 인구감소 및 관심지역 지자체 107개를 대상으로 지방소멸에 효과적으로 대응하고 진정한 지방시대를 구현하기 위해 올해 처음 추진됐다.
의령군은 두 차례에 걸친 평가를 통해 전국 16개 선정된 지자체 중 도내에서는 유일하게 이름을 올렸다.
선정된 의령 로컬푸드 패키지 육성사업은 지방소멸대응기금 66억원으로 청장년 임대스마트팜 조성, 농산물 유통센터 스마트 시설개선, 로컬푸드 취창업 지원센터 조성사업 연계해 지역농산물 생산·유통·가공·판매 플랫폼을 구축하는 것을 핵심으로 하고 있다.
군은 소상공인·중소기업 매출 50% 증대와 창농·창업 50개소 창출, 고용 창출 840명 이상을 목표로 하고 있다.
이번 공모선정을 통해 의령군은 행정안전부의 소멸대응기금으로 관련 인프라를 구축하고 중소벤처기업부의 창업 및 관련 전문인력 양성 교육, 소상공인 및 중소기업 경영·기술개발 컨설팅과 기술개발비 지원, 정책자금 융자 등을 지원받는다.
또 2024년 지방소멸대응기금 배분 시 우대점수를 부여받게 된다.
