월성본부, 해파랑길 싸이클 트랙데이 성료

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성)는 지난 14일 진행한 월성본부와 함께하는 해파랑길 싸이클 트랙데이행사가 성황리에 개최됐다고 15일 밝혔다.

월성본부에 따르면 이번 행사는 발전소 주요시설을 견학하고, 원전 안전성과 이해도를 높이는 특별한 원전 체험을 제공하기 위해 기획된 이벤트로 경주시자전거연맹 정상희 회장을 포함하여 싸이클 동호회 60여명이 참여했다.

참가자들은 경주 황성공원에서 출발하여 3시간여 동안 약40㎞을 라이딩하여 월성본부에 도착해 월성본부 이동형비상대응설비 통합보관고, 전망대, 양식장, 홍보관을 견학하고 본부 인근 나아 해변을 라이딩하며 원전 주변지역의 아름다운 자연 풍광까지 즐겼다.

정상희 경주시자전거연맹 회장은“행사가 매우 유익하고 흥미로웠으며, 국내 원전의 안전성과 필요성 그리고 기술력에 대한 더 깊은 이해를 할 수 있게 되었다.”라고 말하며, “원자력발전소를 싸이클을 타고 견학할 수 있는 흔치 않은 기회에 참여하게 되어 평생 기억에 남을 추억을 만들어 줘서 감사하다.”라고 소감을 전했다.

이에 김한성 월성원자력본부장은 “앞으로 원전 주변지역 경관을 활용한 싸이클코스 개발 등 지역사회를 위한 지원을 아끼지 않을 것이며, 안전한 원전 운영을 기본으로 탄소중립 사회를 구현하고 국가경제발전을 위해 원전이 많은 역할을 할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다.”고 말하며 참가자들에게 감사를 표했다.

Wolseong headquarters successfully completed Haeparang Road cycle track day
