[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군에 가장 늦게 생긴 마을인 의령읍 행복마을에서 개최된 ‘행복마을 어울림 축제’가 의령군 내에서 가장 큰 마을 축제로 열려 주목을 받았다.
지난 13일 오태완 군수와 김규찬 의장과 군의원, 권원만 도의원을 비롯한 기관·사회단체장, 행복마을과 인근 의령읍 주민 등 1천여 명이 참여해 체험과 축하공연 등 다양한 행사를 즐겼다.
축제는 주민이 참여하는 행복 마켓 운영과 아이들에게 최고의 인기를 끈 금붕어 낚시 체험, 어린이 소방 체험 등의 어린이 체험행사와 마술공연, 거주민이 참여한 풍물 연희패 놀이마당, 색소폰 앙상블 라르고공연 부림면과 화정면 출신 가수 강원과 심재민 초대가수 공연으로 절정을 이루었으며 마을 거주민들과 함께 행복을 선사하는 행복한 축제의 장이 됐다.
오태완 군수는 축사에서 “저도 행복마을 주민입니다. 마을 이름처럼 우리 마을 주민들이 행복하고 건강하게 살았으면 합니다. 이 행복이 행복마을을 넘어 의령군 전역으로 이어질 수 있기를 기원합니다.”고 말했다.
이 축제는 행복마을과 상생협력을 맺은 테림페이퍼(주), 의령사랑병원과 미래연구원, 국제플랜트, 신우건설, 늘푸른(주) 등이 후원했다.
마을축제를 기획한 주웅일 이장은 “행복마을 축제는 공모사업으로 선정되어 인구소멸위기 지역의 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 수 있는 인구유입거점으로서의 위상을 확립하는 마중물 역할을 행복마을이 하도록 하겠다.”며 “축제를 위해 인근 상가의 자체 쿠폰을 발행함으로서 마을상인들의 경제 활성화에도 신경을 썼으며 더 많은 주민과 군민이 참여하는 마을축제로 거듭나도록 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
