갤러리라온(서울시 중구 퇴계로 340, 대일빌딩 2층)은 박필임 화가의 초대 전시회를 5월15일부터 31일까지 연다.
필자는 지난 5월20일 오후 박필임 화가의 전시장을 방문, 그림을 감상했다. 자연풍물, 누드, 고양이 등을 소재로 한 전시된 그림들에서 생명의 역동성을 느낄 수 있었다.
박필임 화가는 경남대학교 미술학과, 부산대학교 일반대학원 서양학과를 졸업했다. 지금까지 16회의 개인전을 가진 중견화가이다.
박필임 화가는 이번 초대 전시회의 작가노트에서 “풍경과 정물을 위주로 그렸던 반 구상작업이 위주였다. 그런데 요즘 달라진 점이 있다면 생명에 관한 관점의 방향성이 변하고 있다. 자연, 생명에 대해 소중함과 사색과 철학을 통하여 느끼는 바를 담고 싶었다”면서 “순간 순간마다 역동적인 에너지와 충실감이 내가 살아 있음을 느끼게 해준다. 살아가는 이유, 존재감을 느낄 때 더욱 더 신나게 작업하는 이유이기도 하기 때문이다. 생명의 신비로움과 환희를 화면에서 자유자재로 노래하기를 희망하며, 작업의 기쁨을 함께 나누는 작가이고 싶다”고 강조했다. moonilsuk@naver.com

]Gallery Raon (340 Toegye-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, Daeil Building 2nd floor) will hold an invitational exhibition by Park Pil-im from May 15th to 31st.
On the afternoon of May 20th, I visited the exhibition hall of painter Park Pil-im and admired the painting. I could feel the dynamism of life in the paintings on display with natural winds, nudes, and cats.
Painter Park Pil-Im graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Kyungnam University and the Department of Western Studies at the Graduate School of Pusan National University. He is a medium-sized painter with 16 solo exhibitions so far.
In the artist's note for this invitational exhibition, Park Pil-im said, "The semi-figurative work was mainly about landscapes and still lifes. However, if there is anything that has changed these days, the direction of the perspective on life is changing. He wanted to include what he felt about nature and life through thought, philosophy, and the value of life,” he said. “Every moment, the dynamic energy and faithfulness make me feel alive.
