한중도시우호협회는 5월25일자 보도자료에서 “권기식 한중도시우호협회장은 24일 오전 중국 옌타이시 펑라이구 해안개발구를 방문했다. 펑라이구 초청으로 이뤄진 이날 방문에는 셰슈연 펑라이 개발구 서기 등 관계자들과 리궈안 베이징 아무스그룹 회장 등이 동행했다. 권 회장은 이어 셰슈연 서기의 초청으로 펑라이구 A호텔에서 한중 도시교류를 위한 오찬 간담회를 가졌다”고 밝혔다.

권기식 회장은 이날 저녁 옌타이시 청사앞 B호텔에서 열린 옌타이시 정부 초청 만찬 간담회에 참석해 한중 지방정부 교류와 경제 협력을 강조했다.
