【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스는 지난 5월 25일부터 28일까지 튀르키예 이스탄불 Istanbul Expo Center에서 개최된 ‘IDEX 2023- ISTANBUL DENTAL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS EXHIBITION’에 이 대학 지역특화 청년무역전문가양성사업단(이하 GTEP사업단)이 참가했다고 7일 밝혔다.

IDEX 2023은 튀르키예 이스탄불 치과의료기기 전시회로, 1994년에 처음 개최돼 올해 30회째를 맞는다. 의료용 진단 및 분석용 기기, 병원장비, 보건용품, 병원 소모품 및 재활 치료용품 등 의료분야 전(全) 품목 기업이 참가한다. 우리나라는 2013년부터 이스탄불 의료기기 전시회에 참가해 왔다. 지난해, 한국관에는 11개 기업이 참가했으며, 홍보부스 1개를 포함해 약 12개의 부스를 운영했다.
이번 전시회에서는 총 4명의 GTEP 요원이 2명씩 팀을 이뤄 각각 자인텍㈜, ㈜메드파크 두 회사와 협력해 제품 홍보 및 판매, 바이어 상담, 계약체결 등 기업의 제품 수출을 위해 힘을 보탰다.
자인텍㈜는 교정기를 설치하기 위하여 치아를 다듬거나 교정기를 제거, 입 속의 사진을 찍기 위해 입김을 빨리 사라지게 해주는 등의 치과 기재를 판매하는 기업이다.
㈜메드파크기업은 완제 의약품 제조업을 주력으로 삼고 있으며, 완제의약품, 치과용 기기, 정형외과용 기기 제조, 물리, 화학, 농학 연구개발을 하고 있다.
전시회에 참여한 중어중문학전공 4학년 이채영 요원은 “전문기기라서 바이어에게 제품을 설명할 때 많이 떨렸지만 샘플을 이용해 작동 방법을 직접 보여주는 등 계속 시도하니까 긴장이 풀리고 오히려 즐겁게 말했던 것 같다며, 힘들었지만 좋은 경험이었다.”라며 생생한 소감을 밝혔다.
정성훈 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 GTEP사업단장은 ”동국대학교 GTEP사업단은 이론중심으로 이루어진 대학교육에 무역 실무지식과 현장체험을 접목하여 기업현장의 요구에 부합하는 맞춤형 인재를 양성하는 것을 목적으로 두고 있다“며 ”학생들이 직접 협력 기업의 발굴부터 마케팅 관련 업무 전 과정을 모두 스스로 수행하여 무역 전문가의 능력을 키워나가고 있다“고 말했다.
한편 동국대 GTEP사업단은 튀르키예 ‘IDEX 2023’ 전시회 뿐만 아니라 뷰티월드 재팬 도쿄 전시회(5월15일~17일), 카자흐스탄 국제 의료 전시회(5월17일~19일), 중국 상하이 식품전시회(5월18일~20일)에도 GTEP사업단 요원들이 국내 기업들과 함께 참여하여 기업의 제품들을 홍보하고 바이어와의 상담, 계약체결 등 기업의 제품 수출에 힘을 보태고 있다.
