[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군이 동산공원묘원 폐기물로 인한 2차 오염 등 주변 환경 피해 방지를 위한 대응에 적극적으로 나서고 있다.
14일 군에 따르면 본격적인 장마철이 오기 전 폐기물 유실만은 반드시 막겠다는 강력한 의지 천명이다.
의령군은 현재 수사 및 행정소송 중인 법적 판단 이전에 우선 폐기물로 인한 환경오염 예방에 주력하기로 했다.
지난달 군은 집행정지 결정 사항에 폐기물 반출 등 원상복구 가능 여부에 대해 환경부·경남 지방경찰청 등에 질의 회신하고, 법률 전문가에게 자문 등 종합적인 사항을 고려해 1일 업체에 폐기물 원상복구 이행지시를 내렸다.
해당 업체는 지난 7일부터 등록된 운반 차량으로 현장에 적치된 폐기물 원상복구를 시작하여 현재까지 600여 톤을 실어 내 복구하고 있다.
의령군은 장마철 우수기 전에 절반 이상은 복구한다는 목표를 세웠다.
특히 집중호우로 인한 유실을 가장 경계하며 저류조 추가 설치, 배수로 정비에 주력하고 있다.
또한 현장에 적치된 폐기물의 복구는 분리 선별하여 재가공 처리하고, 이물질 등 재활용할 수 없는 폐기물은 처리기준 및 방법에 따라 별도 매립시설로 위탁 재처리한다는 방침이다.
