[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 황강 광역취수장 관련 군민대책위원회는 28일 합천군민 500여명이 환경부를 방문해 군민동의 없이 일방적으로 추진되고 있는 황강취수장 설치사업 중단을 촉구하고 대규모 규탄 결의대회를 가졌다.

여한훈 위원장은 “그동안 환경부가 합천군민들에게 커다란 실망감을 안겨 주고 지역주민 동의 없이는 사업을 추진하지 않겠다고 하면서 계속 용역을 진행하는 것은 합천군민을 우롱하는 처사다. 왜 우리가 오늘 농사를 팽개치고 여기 와서 울부 짖는가를 알아야 된다”고 울분을 토하며 삭발로 투쟁의지를 다졌다.

합천읍에 거주하는 50대 K씨는 “94년 정부가 부산 상수원 대체수원으로 남강댐과 합천댐 제안에 합천군민의 강력한 반대로 무산된 일이 있다"며 "집회 과정에서 합천군민들이 구속되고 많은 희생을 치렀는데 지금도 정부가 30년 전 행정을 되풀이 한다면 합천군민은 이보다 더한 희생을 감수할 것이고 그 댓가는 반드시 환경부가 져야 한다”고 주장했다.
