[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 함안군은 지방하천의 기능확보와 자연재해 예방을 위해 칠북면 가연리에 위치한 가연천 재해예방사업을 본격적으로 추진한다고 12일 밝혔다.
가연천은 일부 하천폭이 협소하고 낮은 교량으로 집중호우 및 태풍내습시 침수피해 발생이 잦아 정비 필요성이 제기된 하천이다.
이를 해결하기 위해 군은 특별교부세 10억과 특별조정교부금 10억 등 총 20억을 확보해 본격적으로 가연천 재정비에 들어갈 예정이다.
군은 20억을 투자해 교량재가설 및 호안정비를 시행할 계획이며 2023년 하반기 실시설계 용역 발주, 2024년 사업준공을 목표로 주민들이 재해로부터 안전하게 생활할 수 있도록 만전을 기할 방침이다.
군 관계자는 “가연천 외에도 적극적인 특별교부세 확보 등으로 순차적인 하천정비를 해 재해 예방은 물론 자연 친화적인 하천 조성에 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
