한국화장실문화시민연대는 올해 사업 중 하나로 저소득 어르신 낙상 예방을 위한 '아름다운 안전바 손잡이 설치 119 도움단'을 발족시켰다.
도움단에는 화장실시민연대 전국지회장협의회 회장 김영덕(㈜티엔비대표), 표혜령 한국화장실문화시민연대상임대표, 권기호 (주)그라미대표, 이철우 (주)세프티랩대표, 곽노희 (주)토일러대표, 김도용 (주)아르펠대표, 김종윤(전 인천비젼기업협회사무총장), 이정남(수리오형제대표), 강병주(주)에이스그린텍대표)등이 참여했다.
연로한 어르신들은 화장실에서 낙상 사고가 자주 발생한다. 이에 시민연대는 어려운 가정을 선정해 화장실을 드나드실 때 편리한 안전바 손잡이를 설치하는 한편, 음성인식 안심벨을 설치하는 사업을 하자는데 의견을 모았다.
이들은 설치를 원하는 어르신 가정을 각 복지관이나 동사무소에서 추천받아, 매월 5 가정에 설치하는 것으로 결정했다.
화장실문화시민연대 표혜령 대표는 "뜻있는 일을 함께 하는데 대한 감사와 앞으로 5가구에서 10가구, 100가구에 설치가 돼 어르신들의 화장실 낙상사고를 줄이는 일에 화장실 관련업체들이 한 마음으로 함께 하니 큰 보람이 느껴진다"며 "아름다운 안전바 손잡이 설치 119도움단의 발족을 진심으로 축하하며 발전을 기원한다"고 말했다.
