브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 3선의 한기호 국민의힘 의원(강원 춘천시철원군화천군양구군을)은 서울 서초구 서이초등학교 20대 담임교사 A씨가 극단적 선택을 한 것과 관련 "저는 서이초에 다니는 손자손녀가 없는데 어제부터 루머에 시달리고 있다"고 밝혔다.
한기호 의원은 20일 국민의힘 의원들간 단체 SNS방을 통해 "외손녀가 한 명 있는데 이 아이는 중학교 2학년이며 외손자는 다른 초등학교 2학년이다. 친손자들은 큰 놈이 두돌 지났고 경기도에 살고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
한 의원은 특히 "(자식들을) 갑질할 자식으로 키우지도 않았다"며 이번 사건과 자신은 아무 관련이 없음을 적극 해명했다.
한편, 서이초 소속 20대 여교사는 지난 18일 학교에서 극단적 선택을 했다. 이 사건과 관련, 각종 커뮤니티 등에는 서초구에 거주하는 타지역구 3선 국회의원을 부모로 둔 학부모에게 시달리다 극단 선택을 한 것이라며 한기호 의원이 아니냐는 루머가 돌았다.
