[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 제37회 전국시도대항 장사씨름대회가 오는 28일부터 다음 달 3일까지 창녕국민체육센터에서 개최한다.
(사)대한씨름협회가 주최하고 (사)경상남도씨름협회와 창녕군씨름협회가 주관하며 창녕군이 후원하는 이번 대회는 전국에서 100여 팀, 1천100여 명의 선수들이 참가할 예정이다.
대회는 남녀 및 초등부, 중등부, 고등부, 대학 및 일반부 등 부별로 나눠 진행하고, 남자부는 체급별 개인전 및 단체전, 여자부는 체급별 개인전으로 치러진다.
경기는 예선전부터 준준결승전까지는 단판제로, 준결승 및 결승전은 3판 2선승제로 운영한다. 또한 단체전은 맞붙기(토너먼트)로, 개인전은 맞붙기(토너먼트) 및 돌려붙기(리그전)로 운영한다.
창녕군은 올해로써 3년째 전국시도대항 장사씨름대회를 유치해 경남의 씨름 발전과 인재 육성에 크게 기여하고 있다.
아울러 지난 2년 연속으로 종합우승은 경상남도가 차지했는데, 올해 3연속 달성할 수 있을지 귀추가 주목된다.
