브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표가 11일 단식 12일차에 접어든 가운데 체력이 급속히 악화되고 있는 것으로 전해졌다.
이재명 대표는 이날 오전 국회 본청에서 열린 최고위원회의에도 불참했다. 이 대표가 단식 선언 이후 공개 당무 일정에 모습을 드러내지 않은 것은 오늘이 처음이다.
이에 당 중진 의원들은 이날 오전 농성장을 찾아 이 대표의 단식을 만류할 예정이다.
다만 이 대표는 계속해서 단식 농성을 이어가겠다는 입장이다.
민주당 측 관계자는 "이 대표가 단식으로 체력이 급격히 저하됐지만 단식을 계속 이어가겠다는 (이 대표의) 의지가 강한 것으로 알고 있다"고 전했다.
한편 이 대표는 지난 9일 쌍방울그룹 대북 송금 의혹과 관련해 피의자 신분으로 수원지검에서 8시간 가량 조사받은 뒤 체력이 급격히 떨어졌다는 전언이다.
단식 와중에 장시간 검찰 조사까지 받아 몸에 더욱 무리가 간 것으로 보인다.
