(사)아시아문화경관학회(ACLA) 학회장인 중국남경항공항천대학교 천현진 교수는 지난 8월부터 9월 까지 약 2달간 태국 방콕대학교에서 방문교수로 강의를 진행했다.

천현진 교수가 방문한 태국 방콕대학교는 태국의 수도 방콕에 위치하는 종합대학교이다. 태국에서 규모가 큰 대학 중 하나로 1962년에 설립되었다.
천현진 교수는 “ 우리나라의 역사문화보전기술을 바탕으로 문화경관분야는 태국 진출의 가능성이 매우 높은 분야이다. 태국은 관광대국으로, 역사문화자원이 풍부한 나라이므로 문화경관분야에서 많은 관심을 가질 필요가 있다.”라고 전했다.
한편 천현진 교수는 부산 동래에서 차기 총선 출마 가능성이 거론된다. 천현진 교수는 (故) 천만호 동래구의회 의장의 아들로 지난 총선 공천에서 탈락한 경험이 있다. 부산시 동래구지역은 이진복 대통령실 정무수석을 비롯하여 현역의원인 김희곤 국회의원과 서지영 국민의힘 중앙당 총무국장의 총선 출마가 거론되고 있다. 현재 이진복 대통령실 정무수석의 총선출마가 불확실한 가운데 만약 이진복 대통령실 정무수석이 불출마 할 경우에 국민의 힘 부산 동래 총선 공천경쟁에서는 김희곤 국회의원, 서지영 국민의힘 중앙당 총무국장, 천현진 교수 등 3파전으로 이루어질 것으로 예상된다.

Professor Hyunjin Cheon of Nanjing Aeronautics and Astronautics University in China, president of the Asian Cultural Landscape Association (ACLA), lectured as a visiting professor at Bangkok University in Thailand for about two months from August to September.

Bangkok University, Thailand, visited by Professor Hyunjin Cheon, is a comprehensive university located in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. It was established in 1962 as one of the largest universities in Thailand.
Professor Cheon Hyun-jin said, “Based on Korea’s historical and cultural preservation technology, the cultural landscape field is a field with a very high possibility of entering Thailand. “Thailand is a major tourism country and rich in historical and cultural resources, so there is a need for a lot of attention in the field of cultural landscape,” he said.
Meanwhile, the possibility of Professor Cheon Hyun-jin running in the next general election in Dongrae, Busan is being discussed. Professor Cheon Hyun-jin is the son of the late Cheon Man-ho, chairman of the Dongrae District Council, and was eliminated from the last general election. In the Dongrae-gu area of Busan, Lee Jin-bok, senior secretary for political affairs in the President's Office, Kim Hee-gon, an active member of the National Assembly, and Seo Ji-young, the People Power Party's general affairs director, are being discussed for general election candidacy. Currently, it is uncertain whether Lee Jin-bok, Senior Secretary to the President for Political Affairs, will run in the general election. If Lee Jin-bok, Senior Secretary to the President for Political Affairs, does not run, the People Power Party's Busan Dongrae general election nomination race will be a three-way race, including National Assembly member Kim Hee-gon, People Power Party Central Party General Affairs Director Seo Ji-young, and Professor Cheon Hyun-jin. It is expected that it will come true.
