브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표에 대한 체포동의안이 국회를 통과하자, 당 내 갈등이 본격화되는 양상이다.
사실상 체포동의안에 무더기로 찬성한 비명(비이재명)계에선 이 대표를 비롯한 당 지도부의 총사퇴를 요구했고, 친명계에선 '옥중공천'까지 거론하며 사퇴론을 일축했다.
전날 이 대표 체포안 가결되자 '박광온 원내지도부'는 사퇴를 선언했다.
하지만 최고위원을 비롯한 선출직 당 지도부는 사태를 수습해야 한다며 사퇴를 유보했다. 체포안을 가결시킨 의원들을 해당 행위로 간주하며 배신자 색출 및 당 안정화를 위해선 지도부가 여전히 필요하다는 이유에서다.
반면 비명계는 이번 사태는 원내지도부의 책임이 아닌 당 지도부의 책임이라며 즉각 총사퇴를 하라고 압박했다.
비명계로 분류되는 이원욱 의원은 22일 오전 YTN라디오 '뉴스킹 박지훈입니다'에서 "책임져야 할 사람은 가만히 있고 오히려 책임이 약한 사람한테 모든 것을 떠넘기나. 책임져야 될 사람은 이 대표를 비롯한 기존의 지도부다. 책임지는 것이 필요해 박광온 원내대표를 사퇴 하라고 했으면 총사퇴가 되는 게 맞다"고 주장했다.
또 다른 비명계인 이상민 의원도 이날 라디오 '김현정의 뉴스쇼' 인터뷰에서 "이재명 대표는 체포안 가결을 큰 경종으로 받아들여야 한다. 가볍게 봐선 안 될 일이다"라며 사퇴를 촉구했다.
반면 친명계에선 체포안이 가결됐다 하더라도 구속영장이 기각될 가능성도 배제할 수 없는 만큼, 영장실질심사 결과까지는 지켜봐야 한다는 입장이다.
정청래 최고위원은 이날 국회에서 열린 최고위원회의에서 "누구 좋으라고 이 대표가 사퇴하느냐"면서 "흔들리지 않고 피는 꽃이 어디 있으며 젖지 않고 피는 꽃이 어디 있겠나. 저희 이재명 지도부는 끝까지 흔들림 없이 이 대표 곁을 지키겠다"고 사퇴는 없다고 못박았다.
친명계의 좌장으로 불리는 정성호 의원도 이날 라디오 인터뷰에서 '영장이 발부되면 옥중에서도 권한을 활용해야 한다는 것이냐'는 사회자 질문에 "당분간은 그렇게 해야 한다"고 '옥중공천'까지 염두에 두고 있음을 밝혔다.
정성호 의원은 "당 대표가 구속됐다가 사퇴한다면 그야말로 당이 걷잡을 수 없는 혼란에 빠진다"고 주장하며 "최악의 상황이 온다고 하더라도 당대표로서 권한을 적정하게 행사해야 될 것으로 본다"고 했다.
한편, 서울중앙지법은 이재명 대표에 대한 영장심사기일을 26일 오전 10시로 지정했다. 이에따라 26일 늦은 오후 구속 여부가 결정될 것으로 보인다.
