브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표가 26일 구속심사를 받기 위해 검찰에 출석했다. 제1야당 대표가 구속 여부를 판단받기 위해 법원에 출석한 것은 헌정사에서 최초다.
서울중앙지법 영장전담 유창훈 부장판사는 이날 오전 10시부터 특정범죄 가중처벌법 위반(뇌물) 등 4가지 혐의를 받고 있는 이재명 대표의 구속 전 피의자 심문(영장실질심사)을 진행한다.
이재명 대표는 이날 오전 10시경 법원에 도착했다. 그를 기다리던 취재진들은 이 대표에게 다양한 질문을 건넸으나 어떠한 답도 하지 않은 채 법원 청사로 들어갔다.
한편, 이 대표가 받는 혐의는 크게 백현동 개발비리 의혹과 쌍방울그룹의 대북송금 의혹, 위증교사 의혹 등 3가지다.
검찰은 이재명 대표가 정진상 전 당 대표실 정무조정실장(당시 성남시 정책보좌관)과 공모해 014년 4월부터 2017년 2월까지 백현동 사업에서 성남도시개발공사를 배제시킨 뒤 특정업체에 단독으로 사업을 진행케 해 성남도개공에 200억원의 손해를 입히는 '임무 위배'(배임) 행위를 했다고 보고 있다.
쌍방울그룹의 대북송금 의혹은 이재명 대표가 이화영 전 경기도 평화부지사와 공모해 2019년 1~7월 스마트팜 사업 비용과 방북 비용 총 800만 달러를 쌍방울이 대신 북한에 지급하도록 하고 부정한 청탁을 받았다는 의혹이다.
이 대표는 검사 사칭 인터뷰 사건과 관련, 허위사실 공표 혐의 재판 증인에게 위증을 요청한 혐의도 받는다. 백현동 사업에 관여한 김씨의 측근은 이 대표의 위증 요청을 거절할 수 없었다고 진술했으나, 이 대표 측은 증인에게 진실을 말해달라는 취지로 연락한 것일 뿐 위증을 요청한 적이 없다고 반박하고 있다.
