'민심은 천심’을 표방하는 시민단체 민심(民心·대표 서주원)이 윤석열 정부에 병영독서활성화지원사업(이하 ‘병영독서사업’)을 지속적으로 추진해 달라는 호소문을 발표했다.
서주원 민심(民心)대표는 9월26일자 보도자료에서 “병영독서사업은 군 입대 시부터 전역 시까지 병영 전 기간에 걸쳐 체계적인 독서 교육 및 독서 환경 조성을 통해 소통과 포용의 병영문화를 조성하고 인문학의 가치를 확산하는 사업”이라고 소개하고 “지난 10여 년 동안, 전문 강사 파견을 통한 독서 코칭 프로그램과 연계 프로그램을 운영함으로써 병영의 독서가 상시적 병영문화로 자리매김했다. 주최는 문화체육관광부와 국방부, 주관은 한국출판문화산업진흥회와 한국도서관협회다. 주력 사업은 ▲독(讀)한 장병 독서 코칭 ▲온라인 독서 퀴즈왕 선발대회 ▲독서문화예술 프로그램 ▲병영독서 대상 시상식 및 우수 사례 공유 등이다. 코칭 도서·북 콘서트 지원도 주요 사업”이라고 피력했다.
