한중도시우호협회는 10월16인자 보도자료에서 “한국불교 태고종(총무원장 상진스님)은 16일 권기식 한중도시우호협회장을 국제교류 자문위원장으로 임명했다”고 알렸다. 권기식 회장은 오는 2027년까지 태고종의 국제교류와 협력사업을 총괄자문하게 된다.
상진 총무원장은 서울 종로구 사간동 소재 태고종 총무원에서 열린 임명식에서 "국제 교류의 지도자인 권기식 회장이 한국불교 태고종의 국제 교류를 위해 큰 역할을 해주기 바란다"고 말했다.
