30일 경주시의회에 따르면 의회 APEC 경주유치지원 특별위원회(위원장 이동협)는 홍보반 3개를 편성해 각 시군 의회를 방문한 후 2025 APEC 정상회의 경주 유치를 홍보하고2025 APEC 정상회의 경주 유치 100만 서명운동 동참을 호소했다.
남부권역반은 지난 16일, 17일, 23일에 고령군, 경산시, 영천시, 포항시,청도군, 칠곡군, 성주군 의회를 방문했다.
중부권역반은 지난 17일과 18일에 의성군, 예천군, 안동시, 문경시, 상주시, 김천시, 구미시 의회를 방문했다.
북부권역반은 30일에 영덕군, 청송군, 영양군의회를 방문했고, 31일에는 영주시, 봉화군 의회를 방문한다.
앞으로 APEC 특위는 도외의 자매 · 우호도시와 동주도시를 대상으로 APEC 정상회의 경주 유치의 당위성을 홍보하고 대국민 인지도 향상에 노력할 계획이다.
