7일 재단에 따르면 지난 12월 2일, 부산문화회관에서 개최된 2023문화예술교육축제는‘2023문예회관 문화예술프로그램 지원사업’을 수행한 전국 22개 예술회관과 문화재단이 모여 한 해의 사업 성과를 나누고 시상하는 자리였다.
영덕문화관관재단이 진행한 ‘국악백화점’은 전국 지자체 예술회관 간의 경합을 뚫고 최우수상을 받아 감상형 프로그램 중 1위로 인정받았다.
한국문화예술회관연합회가 주관하는 ‘국악백화점’ 감상형 교육사업은 아동, 청소년의 문화예술 향유 능력을 향상시키기 위해 다양한 음악교육을 지원하는 사업이다. 재단은 이번 교육사업을 전통음악으로 문화예술 교육프로그램 콘텐츠를 제작하는 청년예술단체‘모이라이’와 협업해서 진행했다.
‘국악백화점’은 관내 초등학생(1학년~6학년)을 대상으로 지난 8월 여름방학 기간 중 이루어졌는데 국악기의 전반적인 이론 지식과 국악 감상법을 익히고 한국의 전통과 역사를 이해하는 체험활동으로 사업을 마무리했다.
이번 프로그램에 참여한 학생들은 직접 국악기를 연주해 보고 국악 전통 놀이를 체험하며 국악의 이론과 역사를 온 몸으로 배웠다.
이 프로그램은 지역 아동센터와 연계해서 진행했는데 총 46명의 학생들이 수업을 들었고, 그중 50% 이상은 문화소외계층의 아이들이란 점도 성과로 꼽힌다.
무엇보다 활동 중심 교육과 강사와 학생들이 솔직한 대화를 통해 감정과 느낌을 자유롭게 표현하도록 하는 수업 방식이 대상자들의 만족도를 높였다고 평가받았다.
영덕문화관광재단 담당자는“2023문화예술교육축제에서 최우수상을 수상한 만큼 올해 사업을 기점으로 향후 아동·청소년 대상 문화예술교육 프로그램의 장르를 더욱 폭넓게 지원할 것”이라고 수상 소감을 밝혔다.
