금융기관인 서울 강동농협(조합장=박성직)의 베트남 해외연수에 참여했다. 지난 12월 4일. 베트남 중부 도시 다낭(danang)에 있는 국립공원 바나힐스(sunworld) 여행에 나섰다.

베트남사회주의공화국이 국력을 다해 지난 16년간 개발한 관광지이다. 베트남은 프랑스에 의해 100여년 간(1857년 이후) 식민지를 경험했어도 바나힐스에 프랑스 마을(타운)을 건설했다.
5.4km짜리 5개 라인의 케이블카가 조성됐다. 케이블카 길이가 도합(5.4×5)27km에 달한다. 높이 1487m의 산꼭대기까지 케이블카가 연결돼 있다.
바나힐스를 보고 난 후 아래와 같이 정리해봤다. 베트남, 대단한 국가이다.

▲1387m 높은 장소에 5개 라인이라는 케이블카를 설치했다. 그 규모에 놀랐다. 한국같으면 환경단체들의 발목잡기로 그런 규모의 개발이 어려웠음직하다. 지금도 미래안목에서 규모를 확대한다고 한다.
▲베트남 정부의 미래를 보는 안목에 놀랐다. 다낭지역은 원래 어업 지역이다. 그런데 이를 탈피, 관광도시를 만들어냈다.
▲세계에서 바나힐스를 보기위해 관광객들이 몰려든다. 베트남, 이 나라는 관광산업의 가능성을 보여줬다.
▲지금 이후의 시대는 문화시대이다. 한국이 세계10대 경제대국에 진입했다해도, 베트남 정부가 만들어낸 바나힐스 같은 세계적인 대규모 관광단지를 쉽게 만들어내지는 못할 것이다. 한국정부는 통제 정부에서 무한상상 정부로 그 체질을 바꿔야만 한다. 한국 정부 관리들 바나힐스를 와서 보시라.
베트남 다낭의 국립공원 바나힐스를 탐방하고 느낀 것을 한마디로 정리한다면? 글로벌시대, 한국이 살아남으려면? 정부 자체가 통제위주에서 벗어나 생각의 크기를 무한대로 확대해야 살아남을 수 있다는 것이다. moonilsuk@naver.com

Participated in overseas training in Vietnam by Seoul Gangdong Agricultural Cooperative (President = Park Seong-jik), a financial institution. Last December 4th. I went on a trip to Ba Na Hills (Sunworld), a national park in Danang, a city in central Vietnam.
It is a tourist destination developed by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam over the past 16 years. Even though Vietnam had been colonized by France for over 100 years (since 1857), a French village (town) was built in Ba Na Hills.
Five lines of 5.4km cable cars were built. The total length of the cable car is 27km (5.4×5). A cable car connects to the top of the mountain, which is 1487m high.
After seeing Ba Na Hills, I summarized it as follows. Vietnam, it is a great country.
▲The Socialist Republic of Vietnam was under colonial rule from France for about 100 years, and large-scale villages (towns) were built on top of the mountains and turned into tourism resources.
