브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ는 이웃사랑 실천을 위해 사회복지공동모금회에 성금 20억원을 기탁하며, ‘희망2024 나눔캠페인’에 동참했다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 성금은 소외 아동·청소년들의 건강한 성장을 위한 문화 및 교육 지원 프로그램을 비롯해, 나눔냉장고 청년 먹거리 지원사업, 자원순환 프로젝트 등에 사용될 예정이다.
CJ는 2015년부터 그룹의 상생경영 철학을 실천하기 위해 사회복지공동모금회에 매년 20억원의 성금을 전달해 왔다.
CJ 관계자는 “연말연시를 맞아 어려움을 겪고 있는 이웃들에게 따뜻한 온정이 전달되었으면 한다”며 “앞으로도 그룹의 핵심역량과 인프라를 활용한 사회공헌활동을 펼치는 등 사회문제 해결을 위해 지속해서 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, CJ그룹의 사회공헌재단인 CJ나눔재단은 나눔 플랫폼 CJ도너스캠프를 통해 소외계층 아동 및 청소년들이 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 기부 활동과 캠페인을 진행하고 있다. 가장 최근에는 계열사들과 함께 ‘2023 CJ 김장 나눔’ 봉사활동을 실시해 지역아동센터와 복지시설에 총 85톤의 김장 김치를 전달했다.
이 외에도 CJ는 집중호우, 산불, 지진 등 국내외 대형 재해 상황마다 구호물자와 성금을 피해지역에 전달하는 등 이웃돕기에도 앞장서고 있다.
