브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= DL이앤씨는 미국 S&P Global이 발표한 2023년 다우존스 지속가능경영지수(Dow Jones Sustainability Indices)평가 결과, ‘DJSI Korea’에 신규 편입됐다고 11일 밝혔다.
DJSI는 지속가능성 평가 및 투자 분야에서 세계적으로 공신력을 인정받는 지수다. 기업의 경제적인 성과뿐만 아니라 환경, 사회, 지배구조 측면의 성과를 종합적으로 고려해 지속가능경영 수준을 평가한다. 최근 ESG경영에 대한 세계적 관심이 높아지면서 글로벌 투자자들의 책임 투자 의사결정 기준으로 폭넓게 활용될 만큼 권위를 자랑한다.
DJSI Korea는 국내 유동 시가총액 200대 기업 가운데 상위 30% 이내의 평가 지수를 받은 기업만 편입된다. 이번에 DL이앤씨가 신규 편입되면서 건설업종에서는 현대건설, 삼성엔지니어링과 함께 3개 회사가 이름을 올렸다.
DL이앤씨는 지속 가능한 그린 건설, 사회적 책임 이행, 책임감 있는 비즈니스를 2023년 ESG 경영의 3대 전략으로 선정하고, 9대 중점 영역에 대한 장기 목표를 수립하는 등 ESG경영 체계를 확립했다.
이사회 산하의 ESG위원회 및 사내 임원 협의체인 ESG Working Group 운영 등을 통해 ESG 개선 활동을 실질적으로 이행한 점 역시 이번 평가에서 높은 점수를 받았다.
DL이앤씨 관계자는 “앞으로도 기후변화 대응 및 탄소중립 전략 수립, 국제 지속가능성기준 위원회(ISSB)가 주도하는 글로벌 ESG 공시 표준 대응 등을 통해 지속가능경영을 위한 기업의 역할과 책임을 성실히 이행함으로써 기업가치를 제고해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
