브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이낙연 전 더불어민주당 대표가 내년 총선을 앞두고 현 지도부를 비판하며 신당 창당 내지는 탈당의 움직임을 보이며 이목끌기에 나섰다.
이에 반격이라도 하듯 친이재명계에선 이 전 대표를 향한 비판을 쏟아내고 있으나, 이재명 대표만은 침묵을 지키고 있다.

11일 정치권에 따르면 이재명 대표는 최근 이낙연 전 대표와 회동할 수 있다는 뜻을 밝히긴 했으나 공식적으로 제안하진 않았다.
이재명 대표는 지난 6일 기자들과 만난 자리에서도 "당의 단합과 소통은 매우 중요한 일"이라며 "누구와도 열어놓고 소통하고 대화하고 협의해 나갈 생각"이라고 강조했다.
이어 이 대표는 "무너진 민주주의를 살리고 민생을 회복하려면 가용 가능한 모든 자원을 동원해야 한다"면서 "배제의 정치가 아닌 통합과 단결의 정치가 필요하다"고 했다.
이를 놓고 언론에선 이재명-이낙연 간 만남 성사 가능성을 전망했다. 하지만 이낙연 전 대표는 다음날인 7일 "민주당을 획기적으로 변화시킬 의지가 확인돼야만 만날 것"이라며 "사진 한장 찍고 단합한 것처럼 보이는 건 의미가 없다"고 사실상 거부의사를 밝혔다.
이에 친명계에선 연일 언론을 통해 비판을 쏟아내는 이낙연 전 대표를 견제하고 나섰다.
김민석 의원은 라디오에 출연해 이낙연 전 대표를 사쿠라(변절한 정치인)이라며 원색적으로 비난하기도 했다.
김민석 의원은 12일 국회 기자회견에서 "이낙연 신당론은 윤석열 검찰 독재의 공작정치에 놀아나고 협력하는 사이비 야당, 즉 사쿠라 노선이 될 것"이라며 "민주당 덕으로 평생 꽃길 걸은 분이 왜 당을 찌르고 흔드나"라고 직격했다.
장경태 최고위원도 SBS라디오와의 인터뷰에서 이준석 전 국민의힘 대표와의 연대 가능성이 제기되는 데 대해 "낙석연대가 아니라 낙석주의"라며 "조심해야 된다"고 비꼬았다.
오기형 의원 역시 "민주당의 대표를 지낸 분으로서 당을 강화하고 확장하기 위해 조용히 도와줘야 할 것으로 기대하는데 오히려 당의 분열과 갈등의 과정의 축으로 나서는 것 아닌가 우려가 있다"고 지적했다.
한편, 총선을 앞두고 촉발된 민주당 내 계파갈등은 계속해서 심화될 것으로 보인다. 사실상 총선 공천권을 놓고 벌어진 싸움이기 때문에 한치 양보없는 싸움이 불가피하기 때문이다.
정치권에선 계파갈등이 더욱 심화된다면 결국 총선에도 악영향을 끼칠 수 밖에 없다며 이재명 대표가 적절한 출구전략이 시행해야 한다는 목소리가 나오고 있다. 하지만 현재의 친명-비명간 갈등은 총선을 넘어 감정적 싸움으로까지 치닫는 분위기여서 극적 합의를 이끌어내기가 어렵다는 목소리가 힘을 받고 있다. 더욱이 이재명 대표는 사법리스크까지 떠안고 있는 만큼, 그 어느때보다도 고심이 깊어 보이는 모습이다.
