전남교육청 글로컬 K-에듀센터 방문단은 지난 12일부터 15일까지 미국 트로이대학교(Troy University)를 방문해 센터 운영 현황을 점검하고 실질적인 교육 협력 방안을 도출했다고 밝혔다.
방문단은 트로이대학교 내 설치된 K-에듀센터의 2026년 운영 계획을 공유하고, 글로컬 교육 정책 개발 및 교사·학생 연수, 한국문화 홍보 등 센터 활성화를 위한 구체적인 로드맵을 협의했다.
특히 저드슨 경영대학장, 마리아 프리기 국제학생센터 학장, 소하일 부총장 등 대학 주요 보직자들과의 릴레이 회의를 통해 의미 있는 성과를 거뒀다. 소하일 부총장과의 협의에서는 ▲전남 교원 대상 온라인 학위과정 개설 ▲6월 대입정보박람회 참여 ▲K-에듀센터 운영 연장 등이 집중적으로 논의됐다.

트로이대 일정에 앞서 방문한 LA에서는 재미대한축구협회와 청소년 축구 교류 프로그램을 공동 추진하기로 뜻을 모았다. 이와 함께 현지 한인 단체가 전남 학생들을 위해 ‘꿈실현금’을 기부하는 등 장학 지원 방안에 대해서도 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄졌다.
