브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 기아는 19일 한국경영자총협회와 ‘중대재해 예방을 위한 정밀안전진단 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 서울 마포구 한국경영자총협회관에서 진행된 업무협약 체결식에는 기아 최준영 대표이사(CSO), 경총 이동근 상근부회장, 고용노동부 류경희 산업안전보건본부장, 한국교통대 한병호 교수 등 관계자가 참석했다.
이번 업무협약의 목표는 기아가 구축해 온 안전경영체계 전반을 점검해 선진 안전문화를 구축하고 임직원이 참여하는 자기규율 예방체계를 확립하는 것이다.
업무협약을 통해 기아는 연구진 등 외부 전문가로 자문단을 구성해 기아 AutoLand 및 서비스 부문을 대상으로 △자기규율 예방체계 △중대재해 관리강화 △안전문화 분야의 핵심 과제에 대한 정밀안전진단을 진행한다.
기아는 정밀안전진단을 통해 임직원의 눈으로 발견하지 못한 문제점을 전문가와 함께 찾아내고 사업장별 맞춤형 솔루션을 도출해 ‘기아 안전환경 중장기 전략’을 수립할 계획이다.
기아 관계자는 “이번 업무협약은 중대재해 예방에 초점을 둔 기아의 사업 방향성을 보여준다”라며 “고위험 요인을 제거하는 데 역량을 집중해 한층 더 안전한 사업장을 만들 것이다”고 말했다.
