세종시가 지난 21일 행정안전부 주관 ‘2023년 지방규제혁신 추진 성과 평가’에서 우수 지자체로 선정돼 행정안전부장관 표창을 수상하고 특별교부세 10억 원을 확보했다고 22일 밝혔다.
행정안전부는 올해 전국 243개 지방자치단체(광역 17·기초 226)를 대상으로 지방규제혁신회의 참여 및 기여도, 지방규제혁신 임시조직(TF) 운영 실적 등을 평가하고 우수기관을 선정했다.
세종시는 이번 평가에서 경제부시장 주재로 규제혁신TF 회의를 운영, 기업·주민의 애로사항을 해소하기 위한 규제개선 과제를 발굴하고 해결을 위해 노력한 점 등에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
특히, 조치원 비행장 비행안전구역 범위 축소를 지속 건의한 결과 지난 4월 조치원 비행장을 헬기 전용 작전기지로 변경하는 내용의 ‘군사기지법 시행령’ 개정을 이끌어 냈다.
최민호 시장은 “세종시는 지역 경제 활력과 시민 체감을 높일 수 있는 규제혁신을 위해 최선을 다하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 현장 중심의 기업·시민 체감형 규제혁신을 선도해 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
