브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 방송통신심의위원회가 윤석열 대통령 출퇴근 여부 및 시간대를 확인하려 한 유튜브 영상에 대해 '접속 차단' 조치를 의결했다.
방송통신심의위원회는 지난 8일 통신심의소위원회를 열고, 한남동 관저에서부터 대통령 집무실까지의 출근길 관련 영상을 올린 한 유튜버의 영상 37건에 대해 접속 차단 조치를 결정했다.
이같은 결정은 '대통령 경호처'의 요청에 따른 것으로, 경호처는 군 통수권자인 대통령의 동선을 실시간으로 공개하는 것은 경호처법 등 현행법 위반 가능성이 높을뿐 아니라 안보에도 위협된다는 주장을 폈다.
대통령 경호처는 "해당 유튜브 채널이 윤석열 대통령의 동선을 상시적, 반복적으로 촬영·게시하고 있다"면서 "이동로의 구체적 위치, 경호업무 수행 인원에 대한 정보 등이 적국 및 경호 위해 세력 등에게 공개될 경우 국가안전보장에 심각한 위해로 작용할 수 있다"고 강조했다.
이날 통신심의소위원회 의결에는 여당 추천 위원 두 명과 야당 추천 위원 한 명이 참석해 이뤄졌는데, 국민의힘 추천 황성욱 상임위원은 "대통령 동선은 군사기밀에도 해당되고 기록으로 공개돼 남는 문제도 있다"면서 "동선과 일정이 공개되는 것 자체가 안된다고 본다"고 말했다.
반면 야당 추천 윤석옥 위원은 "영상에서 대통령 행렬이라고 공개된 도로에서 언급하는 부분은 굉장히 짧게 등장해 국가 기밀인지도 명확해 보이지 않는다. 1년여 전 올려진 콘텐츠도 있는데 이제 와서 대통령 동선이라 하면서 규제하기는 어려울 것 같다"는 의견을 냈다.
윤 위원은 또한 "이 영상을 삭제 의결한다고 해도 국내에서만 못 볼 뿐, 해외에선 그대로 다 볼 수 있다"며 "대통령 근무 태도를 비판하는 내용인데, 삭제하면 오히려 오해를 받을 수도 있다"고 규제를 반대했다.
