Break News Reporter Moon Hong-cheol= The Credit Guarantee Fund announced on the 11th that it plans to issue 120 billion won worth of G-ABS (Green Asset-Backed Securities) in the first half of the year to support green finance for small and medium-sized companies.

This year, as the budget for the 'Green Asset-backed Securities Issuance Support Project' for small and medium-sized enterprises by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute has more than doubled from KRW 6 billion, the new report will be issued from March this year, similar to the annual G-ABS issuance amount of KRW 155.5 billion last year. It is planned to issue G-ABS worth 120 billion won within the first half of the year.
Companies engaged in green economy activities that wish to issue G-ABS can apply from the 15th through the websites of the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, and branches of the Credit Guarantee Fund nationwide.
An official from Shinbo said, “In the future, Shinbo will continue to expand the size of issuance in the second half of the year through consultation with the Ministry of Environment to enable companies engaged in green economy activities to raise funds at low interest rates using G-ABS, thereby actively promoting ESG management of small and medium-sized companies.” “We plan to support it,” he said.
