브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 인공지능 ChatGPT를 만드는 회사인 오픈AI가 원하는 영상을 설명해주기만 하면 이를 동영상으로 만들어 주는 AI ‘소라(Sora)’를 공개했다.
오픈AI는 15일(현지시간) 자사 홈페이지를 통해 ‘텍스트 투 비디오(Text to Video)’ 모델인 소라를 공개했다.
소라는 사용자가 적은 글을 분석한 뒤, 이를 즉시 최대 1분 길이의 동영상을 생성한다.
오픈AI는 그 예시로 영상으로 만들어달라고 한 텍스트를 공개했다.

이러한 상세한 프롬프트에 맞춰 AI가 자동으로 만들어준 영상도 함께 공개했다. 이렇게 제작된 영상의 품질은 상당한 수준으로, 전문가가 직접 제작한 영상이라고 해도 믿을 정도의 퀄리티를 보여줬다.
소라는 이처럼 설명글만으로도 동영상을 생성해주며 기존의 사진을 동영상으로 만들어 줄 수도 있다고 제조사는 설명했다. 아울러 기존 동영상의 길이를 더 늘리거나, 누락된 프레임을 자동으로 채워주는 기능 등도 있다고 전했다.
