브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 한국전력공사가 지난해 3·4분기 흑자를 내면서 영업손실 규모를 4조5691억원으로 대폭 줄였다.
23일 한국전력 공시에 따르면 지난해 매출액은 88조2051억원으로 전년 대비 23.8% (16조9472억원) 증가했으며 영업비용은 92조7742억원으로 10.7% 감소했다.
물론 4조원대의 막대한 영업손실이 발생했지만 2022년 32조6551억원을 손실본 것과 비교한다면, 28조860억원(-86%)이나 감소하며 나름 선방한 것이다.
한전측은 지난해 세 차례의 전기요금 인상과 국제유가, 천연가스 가격 하락 등으로 인해 지난해 3분기 영업이익은 1조9966억원, 4분기엔 1조8843억원를 기록했다고 설명했다.

구체적으로 보면, 지난해 전기 판매 단가는 26.8% 오르면서 전기판매 수익은 16조7558억원 증가했다.
자회사 연료비와 민간발전사 전력구입비 각각 7조6907억원, 3조6806억원 감소했다. 자회사 발전량은 예방정비 증가 등으로 감소했지만, 민간 신규 석탄 발전기 진입 등으로 전력구입량은 증가했다.
한전 관계자는 "앞으로 자구노력을 철저하고 속도감 있게 이행해 누적적자 해소를 위한 방안을 계속 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.
