브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 신용보증기금은 지난 11일 서울 마포구 프론트원에서 키르기스스탄 보증기금(OJSC Guarantee Fund, 대표 말릭 아이다 아바키로브)과 양 기관 신용보증제도의 발전과 중소기업 육성을 위한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 MOU는 세계은행(World Bank)이 주관한 키르기스스탄 영세 중소기업 발전 프로젝트의 일환으로, 우리나라의 선진 보증제도를 벤치마킹하기 위한 키르기스스탄 재무부와 보증기금 대표단의 요청으로 마련됐다.
양 기관은 신용보증제도 운용 노하우 공유, 직무 능력 향상을 위한 인적 교류, 중소기업 정책 관련 정보 교환 등 여러 방면에서 상호 협력할 예정이다.
키르기스스탄 재무부 루슬란 수이날리예브(Ruslan Suinaliev) 차관은 “신보의 성공적인 보증제도에 매우 깊은 인상을 받았다”며 “이번 MOU가 키르기스스탄 보증제도 및 중소기업 발전에 큰 도움이 될 것이다”고 전했다.
최원목 신보 이사장은 “한국형 신용보증제도는 세계적으로 가장 성공적인 모델”이라며 “신보는 앞으로도 개발도상국의 중소기업 금융 발전을 위해 국제기구 및 다양한 국가와 협력을 강화해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
한편, 신보는 2015년과 2022년에 세계은행의 공적 신용보증제도 연구에 참여했고, 작년에는 세계은행 및 인도 중소기업부 대상 녹색금융 연수를 진행하는 등 세계은행과 긴밀한 협력관계를 유지해 왔다.
