윤석열 대통령이 21일 강원 원주 늘봄학교 운영 현장을 찾아 "늘봄학교 프로그램을 뒷받침하기 위한 정부 정책 지원·재정 투자를 아끼지 않겠다"고 말했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 강원 원주 명륜초등학교를 방문해 가진 현장 간담회에서 "원하는 아이들이 공정한 배움 기회를 누릴 수 있게 하려면 품질 높은 프로그램을 마련하는 게 가장 중요 과제"라며 "학교·교육청·지방·중앙정부·기업·지역사회 등 모두가 협력해 좋은 프로그램을 찾고 재능기부도 많이 해달라"고 당부했다.
또 안전사고 예방 관리 강화를 건의하는 학부모 얘기를 듣고 이주호 교육부 장관에게 "아이들이 학교 밖으로 체험활동 나갈 때 안전 문제에 각별히 신경 써달라"고 지시했다.
