윤석열 대통령이 29일 "GTX-A 개통은 1970년 경부고속도로 개통·2004년 KTX 개통에 비견되는 대한민국 대중교통 혁명 날"이라며 "개통 기쁨을 국민들과 함께 나누고 싶다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 서울 강남구 GTX수서역에서 열린 GTX-A 수서-동탄 구간 개통식에 참석해 기념사에서 "우리 삶·도시경쟁력에 혁명적 변화를 가져올 것"이라며 이같이 말했다.

또 "앞으로 GTX 요금 부담도 확실히 낮춰 나가겠다"며 "대중교통 할인 프로그램 'K-패스'와 경로·어린이·장애인·유공자 대상 할인을 통해 2∼3천원대로 이용토록 하고, 수도권 환승 할인제·주말 10% 할인 등을 통해 국민들 교통비 부담을 덜어드리겠다"고 말했다.
