브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 대구 달서구병에 출마한 조원진 우리공화당 후보가 허위사실 공표 혐의 등 공직선거법 위반 혐의로 권영진 후보를 추가 고소하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.
조원진 후보는 2일 보도자료를 통해 "권영진 후보는 2019년 11월 20일 중앙일보 인터뷰에서 이재명 경기도지사 탄원서를 제출한 이유를 ‘정파 떠나 양심적으로 탄원’ 했다고 했다. 그동안 시도지사협의회장으로서 불가피하게 서명하게 되었다는 권영진 후보의 말은 대구시민을 우롱하는 거짓말이었나"라고 비판했다.
이어 조원진 후보는 지난 1일 대구 MBC에서 열린 달서구병 국회의원 후보자 토론회에서도 권영진 후보의 허위사실 공표 등 공직선거법 위반 혐의가 다수 확인됐다고 주장했다.
조원진 후보는 "권영진 후보는 ‘산격동 이전 검토 언론보도가 없다’고 했다. 그러나 2018년 7월 언론보도에선 권 후보가 ’만약 신청사 입지가 북구 산격동 경북도청 이전터로 정해질 경우 신청사 부지 매입비는 대구시가 부담하겠다고 했다. 또 다른 언론에다가는 ’시민들이 도청 이전터에 신청사를 건립하는 데 찬성한다면 추진단을 꾸릴 것‘이라고도 했다"고 지적했다.
조원진 후보는 또한 "이밖에도 권영진 후보는 후보자 토론회에서 우한에서 수학여행단이 들어온 것이 없다고 했으나 그 당시 2020년 2월 21일 연합뉴스에 따르면 대구시가 2020 대구경북 관광의 해를 맞아 1월 14-16일 2박 3일 일정으로 중국 허난성 초등학생과 중학생 400여명을 유치했다‘는 기사가 나온다"면서 "권영진 후보는 신천지 연관 의혹에 대해서는 제대로 밝히지도 못했다"고 했다.
