시는 봄맞이 버스승강장 정비를 위해 지난 3월 시내버스 현장 점검을 실시해 우선 정비가 필요한 67개소를 선정해 승강장 도색, 노선도 교체 등 환경정비 활동을 추진 중이다.
아울러 시는 시내버스 이용객들의 쾌적한 승강장 이용을 위해 매월 2회 승강장 주변의 쓰레기 및 거미줄 제거, 불법 광고물 제거 등 도시미관 개선에도 앞장선다는 계획이다.
또 시는 시내버스 이용객들의 안전 확보 및 정류장 주변 불법 주정차를 근절하기 위해 버스정차구획 노면정비도 추진한다.
진주시 관계자는 “긴급 정비가 필요한 시내주요 간선도로 64개소 정류장에 버스정차구획 노면정비를 실시했다”며“노후 승강장 환경정비에 적극나설 예정이다”고 말했다.
한편 진주시는 주요 승강장 46개소에 설치했던 한파가림막은 지난 3월 말 철거를 완료했으며 수선 및 보수를 통해 오는 11월에 재설치 될 예정이다.
