[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시 진양호 우드랜드가 지난 3월까지 방문객이 지난해 동기 대비 두 배로 증가, 역대 최다를 기록해 서진주의 친환경 목재문화 체험의 장으로 자리매김하고 있다.
진양호 우드랜드는 지난 2022년 1월에 운영해 진주성의 수호목 ‘new뉴티나무’ 상설 전시와 분기별 목재 공예품 기획전시 등 목재문화 활성화를 위한 다양한 프로그램을 제공하고 있다.
우드랜드는 지난 3월부터는 ‘우드버닝’ 작품 전시회가 진행되고 있으며, 오는 4월 말까지 전시되어 있는 작품을 방문객이 직접 만들어 볼수 있는 체험 프로그램도 운영한다.
진주시 관계자는 “도심 속에서 친환경 목재체험을 할 수 있는 곳으로 시민들이 다양한 목재 문화를 체험할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다” 말했다.
