브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표는 12일 윤석열 대통령과의 영수회담 가능성에 대해 "당연히 만나고 대화해야 한다"고 당위성을 강조했다.
이재명 대표는 이날 서울 동작구 국립현충원을 찾아 순국선열들에게 참배한 뒤 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "윤석열 대통령도 야당의 협조와 협력이 당연히 필요할 것이다. 지금까지 못 한 게 아쉬울 뿐"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "국정을 운영하고 계신 대통령과 함께 야당과 국회도 국정을 이끌어가는 하나의 축"이라며 "삼권분립이 나라의 헌정 질서 기본이라는걸 생각한다면 응당 존중하고 대화해야 한다. 또 이견이 있는 부분에 대해선 서로 타협해야 하는 게 맞다"고 강조했다.
한편 윤석열 대통령도 4·10 총선 여당 참패에 대한 민의를 받들어 국정쇄신에 나서겠다고 말한 바 있어, 이재명 대표와의 영수회담 가능성에 무게가 실리고 있다.
