[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 전국적인 맨발걷기 열풍에 발맞춰 율하천공원에 황톳길을 조성했다고 18일 밝혔다.

맨발걷기는 코로나 이후 새로운 건강관리 트렌드로 인기를 얻으며 맨발 산책로에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 시는 시민 건강증진과 힐링 휴식공간을 제공하고자 사업을 추진했다.

최근 개장한 율하천공원 황톳길은 5,000만원의 예산으로 기존 공원 산책로 380m 구간에 폭 1.5m 규모로 조성됐으며 세족장과 의자 등의 편의시설을 갖췄다.

시는 맨발걷기 길 조성에 앞서 지난 5개월간 4개 바닥 소재를 각각 10m 길이로 시범 설치해 선호도를 조사한 결과 55%로 가장 선호도가 높은 황토를 이용해 전체 구간을 시공했다.

시 관계자는 “황토 맨발걷기가 시민들의 건강 증진에 많은 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “지속적인 모니터링으로 황톳길 유지 관리에 만전을 기하겠다＂고 말했다.
