한중도시우호협회(회장 권기식)는 4월19일 보도자료에서 “한중도시우호협회가 18일 중국 외문국 아시아태평양 커뮤니케이션센터가 주최하는 '2024 판다컵 국제 글짓기 대회' 한국 협력기관으로 선정됐다”고 알렸다.
보도자료에 따르면, 권기식 회장은 이날 오후 협력기관 대표 자격으로 서울 중구 명동 소재 중국건설은행센터 회의실에서 열린 '2024 판다컵 국제 글짓기 대회' 개막식에 참석했다. 이날 개막식에는 싱하이밍(邢海明) 주한중국대사와 류다웨이(劉大爲) 중국 외문국 부국장, 천원거(陳文戈) 중국 외문국 아시아태평양 커뮤니케이션센터 주임 등이 참석했다.

권기식 회장은 류 부국장과의 면담에서 "중국 외문국은 한국을 포함한 세계인들이 중국을 이해하는 창(窓)"이라며 "한중 미래세대의 지속 가능한 우호를 위해 큰 역할을 해주기 기대한다"고 말했다.
류다웨이 부국장은 "중한 관계는 떼려야 뗄 수 없는 선린이웃의 관계"라며 "올해로 두번째 한국에서 개최되는 판다컵 글짓기 대회가 한중 청년세대의 우호를 증진시키는 데 큰 기여를 할 것"이라고 말했다. 중국 외문국은 중국의 대외 홍보를 전담하는 정부기관이며, 아시아태평양 커뮤니케이션센터는 아시아 태평양 지역 국가들을 전담하는 부서이다.
