진주시, 청년 월세 지원사업’ 추진

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 청년들의 주거비 부담을 줄이기 위해 ‘2024년 진주시 청년 월세 지원사업’을 추진한다고 24일 밝혔다.

이번 지원대상은 진주시에 주민등록이 되어 있으며 부모와 별도 거주하는 18세 이상 39세 이하 무주택 청년 세대주다.

또 가구소득은 기준중위소득 60% 초과 150%이하이고, 임차보증금 1억원 이하 및 월 임차료 60만 원 이하 주택에 거주해야 한다.

하지만 주택소유자, 직계존속의 주택 임차, 기초생활수급자, 정부 또는 지방자치단체의 청년 주거지원 사업 참여자 등은 지원대상에서 제외된다.

신청기간은 오는 30일부터 5월 14일까지며, 서류심사 및 소득·재산조회를 통해 신청자 중 88명을 선정해 10개월간 월 최대 15만원의 지원금을 지급한다.

진주시 관계자는 “이번 사업이 청년들의 주거비 부담을 덜어줄 것으로 기대한다”며“청년들의 주거 안정을 위해 앞으로도 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
