세종시 이승원 경제부시장이 집현동 도시첨단산업단지(세종테크밸리)를 찾아 급변하는 첨단산업 동향 파악 및 입주기업들의 애로·건의사항 등을 청취했다.
세종시에 따르면 지난 2015년 6월 국토부의 산업단지계획의 승인을 받은 도시첨단산업단지는 4-2생활권 집현동 일원에 2025년까지 82만 2,496㎡ 규모로 조성될 예정이다.
세종시는 이곳에 생명공학(BT), 환경공학(ET), 정보통신(IT) 중심의 첨단업종 산업 기업들을 유치, 집중 육성 중이다.
이날 이승원 경제부시장은 입주기업인 ㈜바이브컴퍼니와 ㈜현다이엔지 등 2곳을 차례로 방문해 기업간담회 자리를 가졌다.
㈜바이브컴퍼니는 2000년 7월 설립된 국내 1세대 인공지능(AI)·빅데이터 전문기업으로, 지난해 2월 도시첨단산업단지에 제2사옥을 설립했다.
자체 초거대언어모델(sLLM)을 기반으로 한 바이브 서치 등 인공지능(AI) 솔루션 및 서비스를 제공하고 있으며 지난해 6월 과학기술정보통신부의 초거대 AI 지원사업 공급기업으로 선정되기도 했다.
㈜현다이엔지는 2008년 10월에 설립됐으며 2021년 12월 도시첨단산업단지에 자리잡았다.
2022년 6월에는 공기청정 융복합 기술과 사물인터넷(IoT)를 접목한 스마트 엘이디(LED) 조명개발 생산 및 연구개발로 중소벤처기업부가 주관하는 ‘세종시 스타기업’으로 선정됐다.
지난 29일 간담회 자리에서 참석자들은 지역업체 판로 확대, 근로자 출퇴근 및 주거 편의시설 등 정주 여건 개선 등을 논의했다.
이승원 부시장은 “첨단산업 분야는 세종시의 미래전략산업이면서 글로벌시장에서도 급성장 중”이라며 “도시첨단산업단지 내 입주한 기업들이 대한민국을 대표하는 첨단산업 업체로 성장할 수 있도록 행정적, 정책적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
세종시는 도시첨단산업단지 내 입주한 기업들이 도시 기반 시설과 산업단지의 장점을 동시에 누리고 지역에 빠르게 자리 잡을 수 있도록 법적 기반 및 지원체계를 지속적으로 정비할 방침이다. 또 관내 유망기업들과의 현장 소통도 꾸준히 이어갈 계획이다.
