진주시, 인사동 이마트~진주교 앞 노후 배수본관 정비공사

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 인사동 이마트에서 진주교 간 매설되어 있는 노후 배수본관 775m를 오는 10월까지 총사업비 8억원을 들여 교체한다고 8일 밝혔다.

이번 공사는 지난 1977년 매설한 배수본관이 노후되고 수도관 내 발생한 스케일이 통수단면을 크게 축소시켜 장대동 고지대 일부 지역에 수압이 저하되는 현상이 종종 발생한다.

이에 진주시는 인사동 이마트 앞에서부터 진주교 사거리까지 도로중앙에 배수본관을 매설해 중앙동, 장대동 일원에 맑고 안정적인 수돗물을 공급할 계획이다.

진주시 관계자는 “교차로 및 일부 대로변은 야간에 공사를 진행하고 출퇴근 시간은 피하는 등 불편을 최소화 하겠다”며 “주민들의 협조와 이해를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
