세종시가 오는 11일 세종중앙공원 일원에서 개최하는 ‘2024 세종낙화축제’ 교통 대책을 최종 점검하기 위한 긴급회의를 8일 개최했다.
김하균 행정부시장 주재로 진행된 이날 회의는 주관기관인 세종시문화관광재단을 비롯해 세종남부경찰서, 모범운전자회 등 유관기관과 세종시설관리공단 등 이번 행사의 교통안전 분야를 지원하는 소관부서가 참여한 가운데 열렸다.
이번 회의에서는 지난해 낙화축제 당시 관람객들이 불편을 겪었던 교통, 주차 분야의 준비 상황과 대중교통 관련 대책을 중점적으로 확인했다.
올해 ‘2024 세종낙화축제’는 오후 5시부터 11시까지 관람객이 집중될 것으로 예상된다.
이에 따라 시는 행사장 혼잡을 고려해 축제 방문 시 도보 또는 대중교통 이용을 적극 권장하고 홍보할 방침이다.
아울러 원활한 차량 소통을 위해 나성3교에서부터 중앙공원 주차장 앞 회전교차로를 상하 방면 일방향 통행만 가능하도록 통제하고 국립어린이박물관 앞 유턴을 금지할 계획이다.
또 세종중앙공원 주차장 등 행사장 주변에 주차장 12개 총 3,550면을 운영한다.
혼잡이 예상되는 행사장 인근 총 7개의 주차장에는 주차 전문 관리 인력을 배치해 입·출차를 관리하고 불법주정차 단속으로 원활한 교통흐름을 유지하도록 만전을 기할 예정이다.
