[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 5월 가정의 달을 맞아 김해시내 곳곳에서 가족단위의 다양한 행사들이 이어지고 있는 가운데 행사장에 참석한 홍태용 시장이 갑자기 쓰러진 시민을 응급처치로 생명을 구해 훈훈함을 전하고 있다.
지난 10일 칠산초등학교 체육관에서 경로잔치 행사가 진행되던 중 박모씨(69)가 갑자기 쓰러지는 응급상황이 발생했다.
다행히 행사에 참석한 홍태용 시장이 박씨에게 달려가 긴급하게 응급처치를 한 후 행사 의료지원을 나와있던 한사랑병원의 의료지원팀에게 처지를 지시해 김해삼승병원으로 긴급 후송했다.
박씨는 병원에서 의식을 회복하고 이날 퇴원 했다.
홍 시장은 신경과 전문의 의사 자격이 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
현장에 있었던 새마을 부녀회 한 회원은 “의사출신인 홍태용 시장님이 발 빠르게 응급처치를 해주셔서 정말 안심이 되고 다행이라고 생각했다”고 전했다.
