브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KCC는 한국미래환경협회와 3년째 이어가고 있는 ‘숲으로 미래로’ 캠페인의 일환으로, 올해는 유아숲체험원 보수에 나섰다고 23일 밝혔다.
지방자치단체에서 운영하는 유아숲체험원은 어린이들이 다양한 숲생태계를 체험하며 인지적·정서적·사회적 성장을 할 수 있도록 지도 및 교육하는 시설이다. 야외체험학습장과 대피시설, 안전시설을 갖추고 있다. KCC와 협회 자원봉사자들은 강남구 해찬솔과 송파구 장지공원 유아숲의 목재 구조물 보수를 진행했다.
목재로 만들어진 유아숲체험원의 시설과 구조물이 오랜 기간 유지되면서 아이들이 안전하고 즐겁게 숲을 경험할 수 있도록 KCC의 ‘로얄우드’, ‘숲으로 올인원’ 등의 페인트를 활용해 구조물을 칠했다.
KCC와 협회는 한층 밝아진 강남구 해찬솔과 송파구 장지공원 유아숲에서 아이들이 보다 안전하고 기분 좋게 숲 체험을 할 수 있기를 기대하고 있으며, 하반기에도 보수가 필요한 유아숲체험원을 선정해 스테인, 컬러 페인트 칠을 진행할 계획이다.
정민구 KCC 브랜드커뮤니케이션팀장은 “숲 체험을 통해 미래의 주역인 아이들이 자연스럽게 자연을 아끼며 건강하고 밝게 성장해 나가기를 바라는 마음을 담아 유아숲체험원 보수를 기획하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 ‘숲으로 미래로’ 캠페인을 통해 숲과 자연에 대한 관심을 높일 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, ‘숲으로 미래로’ 캠페인은 KCC와 (사)한국미래환경협회가 손잡고 2022년부터 진행하고 있는 숲 살리기 사회공헌 활동이다. 산림 복구 및 보호를 통해 자연을 보전하고 숲에 대한 관심을 높임으로써 자연과 함께 미래를 가꾸어 나가기 위해 진행하고 있는 캠페인이다.
