충남도의회 홍성현 의원은 23일 천안교육지원청 상황실에서 ‘현장중심 유보통합 추진을 위한 연구모임’ 제2차 회의를 개최했다.
연구모임에는 대표 홍성현 의원(천안1·국민의힘)과 충남사립유치원연합회 전호숙 회장, 충남도의회 신한철(천안2·국민의힘)·유성재(천안5·국민의힘)·이현숙(비례·국민의힘) 등 4명의 도의원과 천안교육지원청 장학사, 대학교수, 사립유치원 연합회장 등 10여 명의 회원이 참여했다.
2019 개정 누리과정은 유치원과 어린이집에 다니는 3~5세 유아에게 적용되는 공통 교육과정으로, 특히 유아가 중심이 되어 충분한 놀이 경험을 통해 창의성을 기르고 전인적 발달과 행복을 추구하는 것이 핵심이다.
이날 연구모임은 국공립 및 사립유치원과 어린이집에서 유아 중심·놀이 중심 교육과정 운영 현황과 방과 후 교육 연계 등의 내용을 공유하고, 아이들이 건강과 조화로운 발달을 이루어 바르게 성장할 수 있도록 교육과정을 운영할 방안에 대한 의견을 나누었다.
홍성현 의원은 “놀이는 유아가 세상을 경험하고 배워가는 아주 중요한 방식”이라며 “2019 개정 누리과정이 국가수준 공통 교육과정으로 3~5세 유아 모두에게 적용되는 만큼 연구모임에서 현장의 유아·놀이 중심 교육 운영 현황을 파악하고, 유치원과 어린이집 간의 격차를 줄여 현장에서 유보통합을 추진하는 데 힘을 보태겠다”고 말했다.
