서산시의회 행정문화복지위원회, 현장 방문 의정활동 펼쳐

충남 서산시의회 행정문화복지위원회(이하 행복위)는 지난 5월 22일 제294회 임시회 제4차 행복위 회의 중 2024년도 제2회 추경경정예산안 심사와 관련하여 현장방문을 실시했다.

행복위 소속 의원들은 서산국민체육센터 내의 △서산 클라이밍장 건립사업 현장과 △실내수영장 키오스크 구입 예정지, 지곡면 무장리 921-6번지 일대의 △야외체육시설 조성사업지, 안견관길 15-17 일대의 △안견기념관 지붕 방수공사 현장을 순차적으로 방문했다.

먼저 행복위 소속 의원들은 서산 클라이밍장 건립 사업 현장을 방문하여 사업 개요와 그동안의 추진상황 및 향후계획에 대한 체육진흥과의 브리핑을 청취하였다. 조감도와 배치도 및 평면도를 토대로 해당 사업 현장이 최적지인지 살펴보며 주변 시설물들과의 조화로운 이용방안에 대해 질의하였다.

의원들은 “해당 사업지의 실내·외 암벽 클라이밍장 건립이 서산시의 클라이밍 저변 확대에 기여하는 계기가 되었으면 좋겠다.”고 말했다.

이후 서산국민체육센터 내의 실내수영장 키오크스 구입 예정지로 이동하였다. 체육진흥과의 관계공무원은 기존의 노후된 무인발권기에서 잦은 고장이 발생하지만 유지보수 업체의 원격 수리가 불가능하여 실내수영장 이용객들이 불편을 겪고 있다고 설명했다.

마지막으로 방문한 문화시설사업소 소관의 안견기념관 지붕 방수공사 현장에서는 노후된 기와와 전면부 지붕과 처마의 누수를 확인하였다. 의원들은 소관부서에 “안견기념관이 1991년 건립된 만큼 안전검사의 필요성도 검토해볼 것”을 주문하며 “지난 3월에 실시한 전문가의 자문 결과를 적극적으로 반영하여 공사를 추진해줄 것”을 당부했다.

현장방문을 마치며 행복위 이경화 위원장은 “서산시민들을 위해 많은 예산이 투입되는 만큼 사업이 완료될 때까지 꼼꼼하게 점검하며 차질 없이 진행되어야 할 것”이라며 “서산시의회도 현장의 목소리를 듣고 집행부와 함께 의견을 나누며 고민하는 등 시민들의 삶의 질을 높이기 위한 의정활동에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
