세종자치경찰위원회 제2기 출범

세종시 자치경찰위원회 2기가 출범했다.

최민호 시장은 27일 시청에서 제2기 세종자치경찰위원회 위원들에게 임명장을 수여했다.

제2기 세종자치경찰위원회는 충북경찰청장을 역임한 남택화 위원장과 김영식 서원대 교수, 김정환 한국영상대 교수, 김재선 전 홍성경찰서장, 김흥주 대전세종연구원 책임연구위원, 도현택 변호사, 성은정세종참여자치시민연대 사무처장 등 7명의 위원으로 구성됐다.

이들의 임기는 2024년 5월 28일부터 2027년 5월 27일까지 3년이다.

새롭게 출발하는 제2기 세종자치경찰위원회는 범죄예방, 여성·청소년 등 사회적 약자 보호, 교통안전과 관련해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 치안서비스를 발굴, 추진해 나갈 계획이다.

최민호 시장은 “제2기 세종자치경찰위원회의 출범을 축하드린다”며 “자치경찰제 도입 취지를 실현하고 세종시민이 공감하는 치안 서비스 제공을 위해 노력해달라”고 당부했다.

남택화 위원장은 “시민 눈높이에 맞는 맞춤형 치안 서비스를 제공하겠다”며 “안전한 세종시를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
