브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 오리온은 국내 감자농가의 소득 증대를 위해 농기계 등을 지원하는 ‘오!감자합니다’ 프로그램을 3년 연속 진행했다고 31일 밝혔다.
오리온은 지난 29일부터 30일까지 양일간 당진시복지재단을 통해 충청남도 당진·예산, 전라남도 해남 지역 농가에 1억2000만 원 상당의 감자 수확기, 관리기 등의 농기계를 기증했다. 29일 당진시복지재단에서 열린 기증식에는 오리온, 오리온재단, 당진시복지재단, 당진시청, 농협 등의 주요 관계자가 참석했다.
2022년부터 오리온이 펼쳐오고 있는 농가 농기계 지원 사업은 국내 감자농가의 생산성을 향상시켜 소득 증대를 돕는 사회공헌 프로그램이다. 3년간 총 2억5000만 원 규모의 농기계 등을 지원했으며, 지역아동센터에 매해 700만 원 상당의 과자 간식을 제공하고 있다. 올해에는 기존 당진, 해남에서 예산까지 대상 지역을 확대했다.
오리온은 매년 우수 감자 농가와 계약재배 방식을 통해 안정적인 소득을 보장하는 한편, 소비자들에게는 고품질의 감자 스낵을 제공하고 있다. 올해도 전국 320여 개 감자 농가와 계약을 맺고 약 1만5000여 톤의 국내산 감자를 포카칩, 스윙칩 생산에 사용할 계획이다.
